The IHS Trainees and Residents Special Interest Group are organising the "Headache Trainees
Excellence Tournament" at the IHC2015.
The tournament aims to provide young scientists the opportunity to present their data during a 7 min talk and discussion. Young scientists will not only benefit from sharing their research expertise, but will further improve their communication skills and expand their knowledge in the headache field. The tournament will be carried out in two groups, one on clinical related research, and one on basic headache research.
Participants should be under- or post-graduate students or within 7 years of completing initial training (at date of application) and/or currently a PhD student, medical student, post-doctoral trainee or clinical resident/fellow position. Candidates must submit an abstract in which they are the first author and opt to participate in the tournament in the abstract submission website.
The IHS Trainees and Residents Special Interest Group will score, in a blinded manner, and select 3 candidates for each tournament group on the basis of the contents of the abstracts submitted, and will focus on trainees who have not been given the opportunity to present their data during a platform presentation in the main meeting.
The best clinical and basic science presentations will receive a £500 award and a trophy.
